Document Business Rates Audit

NHS BSA now audit all practice’s claims for reimbursement of their non-domestic rates in a three year cycle, this is to deter over-claiming.
If an audited practice has declared a higher or lower percentage of NHS work than their accounts show, the financial difference will be reconciled on their next pay-statement.
Any payment or deduction will be listed on the schedule as “Business Rates Audit” and will note the year this relates to.
The objective for NHS England and the NHSBSA is to ensure that all providers who are entitled to claim do so and that claims are made accurately.
