Document Why has my Non-domestic rates application been rejected?

The most common reasons for rejection of Non-domestic rates applications are:
  • The address on the demand notice does not match a surgery address recorded for this contract.
    (If the address on your demand notice does not match the Compass system, you will need to contact your Area Team (AT) or Local Health Board (LHB) who will be able to amend this. Once this has been done, the AT / LHB should email us to advise that it has been amended.)
  • The form has not been signed by a recognised signatory for this contract.
  • The contract is closed.
  • The total contract value is under £25,000.
  • Small Business Rates relief appears not to have been claimed where possible.
  • The value being claimed is considerably higher than was claimed in previous years.
  • Where relevant, receipts have not been submitted.
  • The claim was received more than 3 months after the payment was due.
  • An account’s letter showing the proportion of NHS work has not been sent.
You should have received an email or letter advising why your particular application has been rejected.
