Document How do I request a Cash Equivalent Transfer Value (CETV)?

The Cash Equivalent Transfer Value (CETV) is a capitalised value of a pension. This is normally requested for Divorce/Dissolution of a Civil Partnership, Financial or Transfer Out purposes.

There are different forms to complete depending on the reason you need the CETV.

If you require a CETV for Divorce/Dissolution of a Civil Partnership purposes then you need to request this by completing the PD1 form, and getting your employer to complete the PD2 form unless you are a deferred member or already in receipt of your pension. If you require a CETV for transfer out purposes, or for financial of information purposes only, the you need to request this by completing a Transfer out guide and application pack. There are separate forms for UK based transfers out and overseas transfers out. If you require the CETV for financial or information purposes only please complete the UK based form and indicate that the receiving scheme is not known.
