Document Will I have to pay if my exemption does not cover the whole of my NHS dental treatment period?

No, you will be exempt for the full course of your NHS dental treatment, regardless whether your circumstances change, if on the first day of treatment you;
  • are under 18 years of age, or;
     
  • are 18 years of ages and in full-time education, or;
     
  • are pregnant, or;
     
  • have borne a child in the previous 12 months
     
You would also be exempt for the full course of your NHS dental treatment, regardless whether your circumstances change, if at any time during the course of treatment you;
  • are in receipt of, or are named on an award of Income Support, or;
     
  • are in receipt of, or are named on an award of Income based Jobseekers Allowance (JSA), or;
     
  • are in receipt of, or are named on an award of Income related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA), or;
     
  • are in receipt of, or are named on an award of Pension Credit Guarantee Credit, or;
     
  • are in receipt of, or are named on an award of Universal Credit (and you meet additional criteria), or;
     
  • are entitled to, or named on a valid Tax Credit Exemption certificate, or;
     
  • are named on a valid HC2 certificate
