Document Where on a referred back or disallowed prescription does it indicate if it has been processed as exempt or chargeable?

This information can be found underneath the image of the prescription. All referred back items will give the form type (for example FP10 SS) and then either ‘C’ for chargeable or ‘E’ for exempt.

Where a prescription was exempt from charges, a second letter, corresponding to the exemption categories on the back of the prescription form, will indicate which box the patient or their representative ticked. If we have been unable to determine the category, the second letter will be a ‘Z’.
