Document Can I apply for a Medical exemption certificate if the medication I'm on is for the rest of my life?

The medication you're on and the length of time you're required to take it for doesn't dictate whether you're entitled to a Medical exemption certificate; you need to have one of the qualifying medical conditions listed on the FP92A application form to qualify.

It's important to remember that having the medical condition alone doesn't entitle you to free NHS prescriptions, for this, you must have a valid Medical exemption certificate.
