Document What identification do I need to send when applying for a postgraduate bursary?

First year postgraduate students
  • Your original valid passport
If you've completed an application form which includes allowances for your children, you must also send one the following for each child you're claiming for:
  • An original valid passport; or

  • An original birth certificate*; or

  • An original up to date Child Benefit letter or Child Tax Credit award notice.
*If you and your child(ren) have different surnames, you must send us the long version of their birth certificate instead of the short version. This is because the long version features the child's parents’ details. If your name isn't listed on the birth certificate, please send one of the other acceptable documents.

If you've completed an application form which includes an allowance for an adult dependant, you must also send one of the following for the adult dependant you're claiming for:
  • An original valid passport; or
  • An original birth certificate
