Document Do I need to apply again if I haven't received my Prescription Prepayment Certificate (PPC) due to the first payment not clearing?

Brand new PPC

If you've made an application for a Direct Debit (DD) PPC and your first payment hasn't cleared, we'll automatically try and take the payment again within 10 working days. If this is also unsuccessful, you'll be sent a letter notifying you of the unsuccessful attempt to collect your instalment and you'll have 3 weeks to get in contact before your PPC application is withdrawn.

If the 3 weeks have lapsed, you'll need to make a fresh application should you want another PPC.

 Autorenewal

If you have a PPC and pay by DD, your PPC will usually automatically renew and you'll receive advanced notice of this.

If you cancel your DD instruction prior to the first payment of your new PPC, we'll assume this is an unwanted renewal and your application will be cancelled. You won't have the option of continuing with this PPC but you can still purchase a new one. If for your first payment is unsuccessful for any other reason, we'll automatically try and take the payment again within 10 working days.

If this is also unsuccessful, you'll be sent a letter notifying you of the unsuccessful attempt to collect your payment and you'll have 3 weeks to contact us before your PPC renewal is withdrawn as we'll again assume it's unwanted.

If the 3 weeks have lapsed, you'll need to make a fresh application should you want another PPC.

If your address changes, it's your responsibility to inform us so we can update our records and ensure your letters arrive.
