Document What is a 19+/24+ Advanced Learning Loan?

A 24+ Advanced Learning Loan is a scheme set up by the government to help pay course fees for students aged 24 and over in further education. This was introduced in August 2013. From August 2016 the scheme has changed to that of a 19+ Advanced Learning Loan.
If your partner is in receipt of the 19+ or 24+ Advanced Learning Loan and no other funding , Dependants Allowance will not be awarded for your partner but you may be awarded full rates for any dependent children.
