Document What can I do if I need an addition or alteration to my existing Disabled Students Allowances (DSAs) award?

If you require additional or different support when compared to your existing Disabled Students Allowances (DSAs) award, you should contact the Assessment Centre that which carried out your original Needs Assessment in the first instance.

They will send us an email to request additional support.

If you require additional Non-Medical Help (NMH) such as extra hours study skills or mentoring support you should discuss this with your Non-Medical Helper in the first instance. Where the NMH provider agrees that additional support is necessary you should then contact the Assessment Centre that which carried out your original Needs Assessment in the first instance.

They will then send us an email to request additional support.

Any requests we receive for additional DSAs funding will be considered within 10 working days in conjunction with your Non-Medical Helper and the Assessment Centre that carried out your original Needs Assessment.

Once a decision is made, we will inform you of the outcome.
