Document How will you calculate my excess daily travel costs to placement if I normally walk or cycle to university?

If you normally walk to university, your daily cost for normal travel to university will be calculated as nil, meaning your excess travel cost will be the full cost of your travel to placement.

However, if you normally cycle to university, your daily cost for travel to university will be calculated by multiplying the current bicycle reimbursement rate for travel by the number of return miles between your term time and university address. This figure will then be deducted from your daily amount claimed for placement travel to establish the excess.
