Document What is meant by the travel disregard figure?

If your BOSS Payment Schedule shows a travel disregard figure, this is the figure that you would need to pay towards travel and accommodation before you would receive any reimbursements.

You may submit claims but no payments can be made to cover practice placement travel and / or accommodation expenditure until the total of the claims submitted exceeds that of the travel disregard figure.

If the travel disregard figure is showing as £0.00 on your Payment Schedule, you can claim and be reimbursed for Practice Placement Expenses (PPE) straight away providing your bursary award qualifies for claiming expenses.

If you started your course on or after 1 September 2012, the travel disregard no longer applies.
