Document I am in receipt of my NHS Pension. Will I have a pension input amount?

Yes, you could have a pension input amount in the following circumstances:
  • You were an active member, retire and take your NHS pension benefits in the same pension input period.
  • Your NHS pension benefits are revised, for example to take account of a late notification of pensionable pay, then this pension growth will be included in the pension input period in which the revised NHS pension benefits are paid.
Once you have been in receipt of your pension for the entire pension input period, as long as there are no revisions to your benefits, your pension input amount will be nil.
