Document Does my Total Reward/Annual Benefit Statement include my Added Years contract?

This depends upon your Scheme protection status and whether you move to the 2015 Scheme.

If you are still an active member of the 1995 Section because you have full protection, the Added Years you have purchased so far will be accounted for in the current value of your benefits, as well as in the 12 months benefit projection and in the estimate of your benefits at Normal Pension Age. For practitioners, this will be included in the dynamising factors sheet.

If you are member of the 1995 Section, with tapered protection and you haven’t yet moved to the 2015 Scheme, the Added Years you have purchased so far will only be accounted for in the current value of your benefits.

If you are a 1995 Section member who has already moved to the 2015 Scheme, either because you had no protection or your tapered protection has expired, the Added Years purchased will only be accounted for in the pension benefits you earned up to the date you moved to the 2015 Scheme. Any Added Years contributions you continue to make whilst participating in the 2015 Scheme will continue to secure additional (1995 Section) benefits in accordance with your Added Years contract.
