Document If I am a Pension Credit member, can I have a larger lump sum on retirement?

Yes, if the Pension Sharing Order that provided you with these benefits was implemented before your former spouse or civil partner retired, you can commute your Pension Credit benefits for a larger lump sum on retirement.

If the Pension Sharing Order was implemented after your former spouse or civil partner retired, you will not be able to commute your benefits for a larger lump sum on retirement.
