Document What happens if I have annual leave outstanding when I retire?

If you have outstanding annual leave it will extend your last day of service.  If the remainder of the leave is not whole days the amount is rounded up to the next whole day.  Any applicable return to work restrictions will commence once the annual leave has been exhausted.

For example, if you are retiring from the 1995 section and your last day at work is 10 May 2015, but you have one and a half days annual leave outstanding, this will extended your last day of service to 12 May 2015.  If you then return to work you must serve a 24 hour break from this date and then work not more than 16-hours a week for the first calendar month after.
