Document If a Scheme member is separated from their spouse, would their spouse still be entitled to a dependant partner's pension?

Yes, subject to the normal Scheme eligibility. If a Scheme member is still legally married then any surviving spouse would be entitled to a pension on their death.

Please note: this also applies if the Scheme member was just separated or legally separated and regardless of the length of time they have been separated prior to the member’s death. It is the fact that they were still legally married that makes the spouse entitled to a dependant partner's pension.
