Document Is there an age limit to apply for Additional Pension?

Yes. You must make the application and complete all payments before your Normal Pension Age if you are a member of the 2008 Section or 2015 Scheme, and before the chosen payable age if you are in the 1995 Section.

The Normal Pension Age for the 2008 Section is 65 and for the 2015 Scheme it is your State Pension Age (or age 65, if later).

If you are a member of the 1995 Section your chosen payable date can be age 60 or 65. Therefore, the age limit will depend on the end age you chose for from the Additional Pension election.
