Document Which bank details should I use to pay back an overpayment?

Overpayments can be repaid via electronic payments or cheque. The details below show how you can make repayments. The overpayment letters sent will identify if the overpayment is in relation to NHS Pensions or NHS Injury Benefits.

Overpayment of NHS Pension:

If you wish to repay an overpayments by electronic payment the bank details are:

Sort Code: 60-70-80
Account Number: 10004084
Account Name: NHS Pensions
Reference: Members SD number

If you would prefer to make a repayment by cheque you should make it payable to NHS Pensions and write the Members SD number on the back of the cheque. The address to send the cheque to will be included in the overpayment letter.

Overpayment of NHS Injury Benefits:

If you wish to repay an overpayments by electronic payment the bank details are:

Sort Code: 60-70-80
Account Number: 10004092
Account Name: NHS Injury Benefits
Reference: Members SD number


If you would prefer to make a repayment by cheque you should make it payable to NHS Injury Benefits and write the Members SD number on the back of the cheque. The address to send the cheque to will be included in the overpayment letter.
