Document How long do I have to claim a refund of my NHS prescription charge?

The refund claim needs to be made 3 months (less a day) from the date on the FP57 receipt (when the charge was paid).

You must have a valid Medical exemption certificate that covers the date that the prescription charge was incurred to be able to claim a refund.
