Document Dental Contract Reform - How is patient experience measured in the ‘Dental Quality Outcomes Framework’ (DQOF) report?

Patient experience is measured through patient questionnaires, distributed and collated by NHS Dental Services.

Patient questionnaires are issued to a sample of patients each month. We use a patient sample size of 750, over the course of a year, to give a representative view of the population of each practice.

The DQOF information is published for information and quality improvement purposes and can be found in Compass using the report type code ‘PTDQOF’:
