Document Dental Contract Reform - Why is information regarding my private dental treatment shared with the NHS?

If you have received NHS treatment within a practice currently participating in the prototype agreement within the last 3 years, limited information about your private treatment within the practice may also be shared with NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA).

This information is restricted to the fact that a private treatment has been provided and the type of treatment that it was. No other details will be shared.

Practices participating in the prototype scheme are contractually obliged to collect this data. If you are unhappy with your information being shared on this basis, the practice will be unable to provide you with any private treatment.

More information can be found in the Fair Processing Notice on our website.
