Document When can I apply/reapply for the Learning Support Fund?

Applications for the Learning Support Fund (LSF) should only be made once you have started your course.

New students should create a Learning Support Fund Application System (LSFAS) account by registering via our website.

Once you have done this you will receive an email with a link to activate your account. You must activate your account within 72 hours or the link will expire, if this happens you will need to create a new account.

After you have activated your account you can access the LSFAS and apply for the different funding allowances (Child Dependants Allowance/Travel and Dual Accommodation Expenses/ Exceptional Support Fund).

If you are a continuing student you should use your existing LSF account and will be able to reapply for funding once you are in active study (you have re-enrolled and have resumed your course).

You can apply for the different funding elements as necessary by logging onto your LSFAS account using your existing log in details and then clicking on the link for whichever funding you are applying for.

Creating a duplicate account could result in applications being delayed.
