Document Why do I need to pay for a CETV for divorce purposes if I am in receipt of my pension?

As you are in receipt of your pension benefits there is no legislative requirement for NHS Pensions to provide a CETV, therefore a charge is made for its provision.
National charging legislation (The Pensions on Divorce (Charging) Regulations 2000 [SI2000/1049]) permits schemes to recover costs for providing pensions on divorce information and putting a Court Order into operation.
With the commencement of the Civil Partnership Act 2004 the same provisions apply where a civil partnership is dissolved.
