Document If I set myself up as a limited company, can I join the scheme?

To be eligible to join the scheme as a limited company, your company must qualify under regulations as an Employing Authority. If you are a GP or a GP provider, you must hold a GMS, PMS, APMS or SPMS contract.

If you are a GP locum, you are not eligible to join the scheme as a limited company, however you may pay pension contributions on other work that you are undertaking, for example if you are also employed as a Salaried GP in a GP Practice.

If you are a Dental Practitioner or Performer please see the related article below.
