Document Can I cancel the automatic renewal of my Prescription Prepayment Certificate (PPC)?

As part of our Direct Debit Guarantee, you have the right to cancel your Direct Debit (DD) Instruction with your bank / building society at any time, however, this only cancels the method of payment and not the actual PPC.

In order to prevent / cancel the automatic renewal of your PPC, you'll need to contact us to arrange this, however, you must ensure your existing PPC has been fully paid for before doing this and, to ensure no payments are taken for the renewed PPC you must contact us at least 3 working days prior to the payment date stated on your new Advanced Notice.

If your auto-renewed PPC has already been issued due to it not being cancelled in time, you'll need to return it with a covering letter as soon as possible and you'll be liable for the cost of the PPC based on the time between the valid from date and the date we receive it back from you.
