Document How much is NHS dental treatment?

England

Standard NHS dental treatment in England that has started on or after the 01 April can only be either £21.60, £59.10 or £256.50.

The replacement of an NHS dental appliance comes under something called Regulation 11, the charge per appliance is £76.90.

 

Scotland

There is no charge for a basic dental examination in Scotland.

For all other dental treatment, NHS dental patients must pay 80% of the treatment costs (including any x-rays), up to a maximum of £384.00. You should speak to your NHS dentist to clarify the exact cost of your treatment.

 

Wales

Patients 25 and under or 60 and above get a free NHS dental check up. 

Standard NHS dental treatment in Wales that has started on or after the 01 April can only be either £14.00, £45.00 or £195.00.

The replacement of an NHS dental appliance comes under something called Regulation 11, the charge per appliance is £58.50.
