Document Are prescriptions issued through my smoking cessation programme free?

If you’re on a smoking cessation programme you should have a voucher instead of an FP10 prescription.

You shouldn’t have to pay for these items as the pharmacy can claim back any reimbursement from the voucher through their Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG). There’s no specific name or standard format for the voucher, this will vary from CCG to CCG.

If you’re issued with an FP10 prescription instead of a voucher, you’d be expected to pay the prescription charge unless you have a valid exemption.
