Document Information on Concessionary Prices

The Department of Health and Social Care may decide to grant a concessionary price as an alternative to granting the NCSO concession. A price concession is a new, fixed price for the month which is higher than that in the Drug Tariff.
The list of concessionary items is listed each month and extends to both doctors and pharmacies.

Nothing needs to be endorsed when an item has a concessionary price, as the new price will be paid automatically when processing.

Price concessions will apply to all electronic prescriptions submitted in a month for which a concession is granted. The concession will be applied in line with the EPS timescales for submission. Please see the related article below.
